Doom/crust/prog-infused death metallers USURPRESS have signed a deal with Agonia Records. The quartet from Uppsala, Sweden recorded their 3rd album, entitled "The Regal Tribe", during the fall of 2015 under supervision of rising star producer Lawrence Mackrory (FKÜ, Darkane). Its release date has been slated for 2016.
"The name Agonia is synonymous with integrity, originality and quality", says USURPRESS frontman, Stefan Pettersson. "We felt that to be able to compete with the bands already signed to the label we had to challenge ourselves and really step up our game. We decided early on to discard the traditional way of songwriting/arranging and compose The Regal Tribe one piece at the time, starting with the first riff in the first song and ending with the last riff in the last song. That way we hoped to avoid the album becoming repetitive and stale and instead more fluent and powerful. Listening back to the finished album, Im convinced we did the right thing. This is the album we have always sought to do".
Cover artwork, tracklisting and other details of the band's 3rd album "The Regal Tribe" will be revealed shortly.

One man UK extreme metal wrecking machine Tom Reynolds has been making quite a name for himself of late with his incessant live appearances up and down the UK and knack for marrying a plethora of extreme metal sounds into one. Now having completed his next Foul Body Autopsy record, an EP entitled Perpetuated By Greed, like all its predecessors Tom has a message to deliver, and again, just like its predecessors, the message is as subtle as a JCB driving up a village main street. In his own words, "The concept behind the new Foul Body Autopsy record is... Everything Is Completely Fucked!".
Recorded at The Parlour Recording Studio (Napalm Death, Dimmu Borgir, Evile) with producer Neil Haynes and featuring cover art from Coki Greenway, Perpetuated By Greed delves into environmental issues, and subjects on a broader scale in comparison to So Close To Dehumanization. The record features six tracks of blistering blackened death grind extreme metal, fast drumming, growls and pinpoint guitarwork.

German thrash metal veterans DESTRUCTION will release their new album, "Under Attack", on May 13 via Nuclear Blast. The band started the recording sessions after the summer festivals last year and has been recording segments in various studios between September 2015 and January 2016. So far they have finished the drum recordings with Martin Buchwalter at Gernhart Studios in Germany, as well as completing some basic recordings, mixing and mastering with VO Pulver at Little Greek Studios in Switzerland.
Comments DESTRUCTION bassist/vocalist Schmier: "We really took our time for this album. After the summer festivals, we went into the studio every couple of weeks to record brand new songs and ideas in between all the touring activities. We took several studio sessions instead of one long one, to keep the ideas fresh and have time later before the mix to change bits and pieces that we did not like. Maybe this was the most effective writing we did in the last years! Due the fact we had more time in between the albums, there was a lot of musical output and creativity, but also less pressure. From my point of view, you can definitely hear the crispiness in the songwriting and the kick-ass attitude we brought from the shows into the studio. The 'on tour into the studio on tour mode' was so effective that I wanna keep this method for the future!"
He adds: "How does the new record sound? For sure not like a band that is in its 33 years of existence: Efficient aggression: FAST CATCHY ORIGINAL!"
