You Must Listen to These New Metal Bands #3
Hello,
We are back with the third edition of our You Must Listen To These New Metal Bands column. Some of you may remember that we previously published the first two issues only on social media in short video format. We did this to showcase the bands that reached out to us via Submithub and share them with our audience, because the shorts & reels format can reach a larger audience than usual. However, I believe sharing them on the blog will also be beneficial. (The order came from above :p)
Anyway, I want to introduce you to as many bands as possible. I won't ramble on or mess with the format. Our format will be the band's name, the song's name, and the link to the song the band posted on YouTube. Well, if you're curious, you should click the link and check out the band. You can't expect the government to do everything. :) (This might be a Turkish joke that doesn't translate well into English)
Let's Quickly Move on to the Third Issue: You Need More Extreme Metal!
Naeveth - Prometheus
With the release of "Prometheus," Naeveth enters a powerful new chapter. Straight from Ukraine, this track brings an "old-school" Black Metal edge, sharpened by unorthodox rhythm shifts and hauntingly cold choir chants.
For me, this song captures the true soul of metal: it is melodic and energetic, yet remains raw and empowering. In true DIY fashion, I produced everything from scratch in my home studio—from the lyrics and riffs to the vocals and cover art.
The Day of the Beast - With Draconian Force
Hailing from Virginia, USA, The Day of the Beast delivers a relentless fusion of Thrash and Death Metal with their latest output. Their sound is a tribute to the genre's legacy, dripping with pure aggression and dark, horror-inspired storytelling influenced by legends like Lovecraft and Clive Barker. By self-producing the album's core, the band crafted a cohesive, "whiplash-inducing" experience that balances old-school energy with a modern, bloodthirsty edge. It is a grim journey into the filthiest corners of the human psyche, rendered with absolute sonic violence.
Glora - Exanimate
Emerging from Brisbane, Australia, Glora delivers a haunting take on Black Metal with their release, Exanimate. The band masterfully channels cold, atmospheric intensity through a powerful five-piece lineup, blending sharp guitar work with raw, visceral energy. As a standout force in the Australian underground scene, they create a soundscape that is as desolate as it is commanding.
Lineup: C.J: Vocals J.R & B.H: Guitars N.G: Bass N.T: Drums
Asenath Blake - Ridden by the Night-Mare
Hailing from Wales, solo artist Asenath Blake has just unveiled her debut album, perfectly timed for the dark season of Halloween. Her sound is a unique blend of Occult Post-Black Metal, featuring the standout melodic track "Ridden by the Night-Mare." Drawing deep inspiration from witchcraft and folk horror, the music weaves together radiant textures, eerie synth lines, and manic vocals to create a truly haunting atmosphere.
SkeletonDanceParty - A Growing Worry
Based in Lisle, Illinois, SkeletonDanceParty shatters genre boundaries by blending Deathcore and Metalcore with unexpected pop sensibilities. Their latest anthem, "A Growing Worry," is a sinister descent into the afterlife, heavily inspired by the cinematic intensity of Lorna Shore. From face-melting breakdowns and dark, atmospheric layers to catchy "goofy" cleans, the track offers a wild and unpredictable sonic experience for every type of metal fan.
Neil Kopicki - Neon Ghost
Based in Washington, USA, independent solo artist Neil Kopicki delivers a high-octane sonic journey with his latest track, "Neon Ghost." Specializing in Instrumental Melodic Metal, Kopicki meticulously composes and produces soundscapes that bridge the gap between heavy guitar-driven energy and epic, cinematic orchestration. With its blend of soaring leads, crushing riffs, and atmospheric synths, the track creates an uplifting yet powerful experience for fans of technical and symphonic metal alike.
Doomed Spirits - Last Reflections
Formed in 2020, Doomed Spirits is a Brazilian powerhouse delivering a haunting blend of Atmospheric Death Doom Metal. Their track "Last Reflections," the closing title piece of their debut album, serves as a dense and emotional finale. Written during the global pandemic, the song captures a visceral sense of anger and sadness, guiding the listener through an immersive soundscape that explores the final, succumbing moments of life.
Ashen Heart - Fight For Blood
Hailing from Nice, France, Ashen Heart blends the crushing weight of Old-school Death Metal with the heroic sweep of Melodic Death Metal. Inspired by Dungeons & Dragons, the band performs as dragon hunters—swords on backs—bringing high-fantasy quests to life. Their track "Fight For Blood" is a centrepiece of this epic concept, offering a powerful mix of melodic riffs and guttural growls. For fans of Amon Amarth and Hypocrisy, this is a sonic journey through a world of heroes, dragons, and eternal battle.
Fear Connection - Isolation
Coming out of Bremen, Germany, Fear Connection delivers a high-octane blend of Death Metal infused with raw Thrash and D-beat Punk energy. Their track "Isolation" showcases their signature style: brutal songwriting paired with melodic hooklines that make for an intoxicating, "whiplash-inducing" sound. Recorded at the renowned Soundlodge Studio, the song explores the grim descent of the human spirit into addiction and loneliness. It is a powerful, heavy-hitting anthem that captures the band’s unique ability to be both catchy and crushing.
Greh - Dysphoric Devotion
Based in Germany, GREH delivers a raw and dissonant blend of Blackened Death Metal with Doom elements. Their title track, "Dysphoric Devotion," serves as a sharp, aggressive exploration of paranoia and total isolation. Built on a minimalistic foundation of just one guitar, drums, and vocals, the band creates a massive, hostile atmosphere that balances groove with chaotic rage. Having shared stages with acts like Hexis and Firtan, GREH solidifies their place in the underground with a sound that is as confrontational as it is heavy.
Kami No Ikari x Benighted - Divine Excuse
Straight from Paris, France, Kami No Ikari (meaning "The Wrath of the Gods") delivers a devastating blend of Melodic Deathcore steeped in Japanese aesthetic and folklore. Their latest strike, "Divine Excuse," features a monstrous guest appearance from the vocalist of Benighted, merging anthemic riffs with pure blastbeat carnage. The track is a majestic yet violent reckoning, clashing haunting choirs with death metal ferocity to tell an epic tale of celestial judgment. For fans of Fleshgod Apocalypse and Behemoth, this is a blasphemous journey into the tempest of divine anger.
Deconstructing Sequence - The Final Battle for Dominance in the Binary Realms
Released via Sweden’s Black Lion Records, Deconstructing Sequence delivers a massive sonic architecture with their track "The Final Battle for Dominance in the Binary Realms." Based in Morocco/International, the band blends the ferocity of Extreme Metal with grandiose, cinematic layers. Drawing inspiration from the avant-garde precision of Dødheimsgard and the majestic scale of Emperor, their new album Tenebris Cosmicis Tempora offers a progressive lens into cosmic chaos. It is a world where technical clarity meets atmospheric depth, creating an immersive experience for fans of blackened, high-concept art.
Ophidian Memory - Conceiving Dreams To Quell Our Ruin
Hailing from Des Moines, Iowa, Ophidian Memory is the ambitious solo project of musician Blake Lamoureux. The track "Conceiving Dreams To Quell Our Ruin" is a centrepiece of the new concept album Seraphim, which continues an epic narrative set in the dark fantasy universe of "Existence." Sonically, it is a ferocious blend of Melodic Death Metal enriched with elements of Black Metal, Thrash, and Metalcore. The music mirrors a high-stakes war between Seraphs and Primordials, offering technical precision and a cinematic atmosphere for fans of progressive and narrative-driven extreme metal.
Ormabol - Hedning
Emerging from the depths of Norway, Ormabol describes their sound as the "evil twin brother of folk metal." Their track "Hedning" (Heathen) is a raw, uncompromising journey into the history of the Vikings and their relentless hunger to conquer new lands. Eschewing modern digital crutches, the band records their drums and lead guitars live and without a click track, using purely analogue gear to maintain a gritty, authentic atmosphere. For those seeking a darker path into a world of ancient sins and horror, Ormabol’s prehistoric energy is a visceral experience.
Sinizter - Postmortem Anomalies
Emerging from the Atlanta scene, Sinizter is redefining aggression by flawlessly blending the crushing vocal energy of Heavy Metal with the rhythmic weight of Trap. A former infantryman with the legendary 101st Airborne Division, Sinizter draws from his real-world experiences in war to fuel his lyrical themes of horror, theology, and conflict. His latest track, "POSTMORTEM ANOMALIES," showcases this unique "Slamming Brutal Death Metal" evolution—delivering a dark, visceral soundscape that is as philosophically deep as it is sonically punishing.
