Grand Harvest Unveil New Video for “Dawnwaster”

Swedish death/doom outfit Grand Harvest have shared another taste of their upcoming album Home. The latest preview track, “Dawnwaster”, comes with a music video directed and edited by David Elg.

For those just discovering the band: Grand Harvest are based in Malmö and settled into their current form in 2017. Their sound is usually described as blackened death/doom, and their lyrics dwell on a deep contempt for humanity and the sheer futility of its existence.

The band’s debut full-length, Consummatum Est, came out on March 25th, 2022, through their own label, Messor Grandis Productions. At one point, the editor of Sweden Rock Magazine went as far as calling them Sweden’s most underrated metal band.

In October 2024 they followed up with Till Förruttnelsen, a two-track EP sung entirely in Swedish. It featured a musical take on the melancholic poem of the same name by Swedish romantic poet E. J. Stagnelius, alongside a Swedish-language version of the Consummatum Est title track. The band described the EP as a pointer toward the direction of their next full-length.

That direction is now starting to come into focus, and “Dawnwaster” only sharpens the anticipation for what Home has in store.
