Exumer Interview With Mem Von Stein

Exumer vocalist Mem von Stein joins Extreminal Metal TV! We caught up with Mem at Bosphorus Open Air Metal Fest 2026 in Istanbul for this interview. Although Mem was born in Türkiye, the festival marked Exumer’s first-ever performance in the country.

Formed in Germany in 1985, Exumer earned their place in the thrash metal underground with Possessed by Fire (1986) and Rising from the Sea (1987). Known for their raw sound and fast, aggressive riffing, the band finally brought their music to the Turkish stage — and we were there to sit down with their frontman.
