Stercore Return with New Single “VOID”
Stercore Return with New Single “VOID” After Japan Tour
Slovak modern metal outfit Stercore are back with their latest single, “VOID,” released on 31 July 2026. The track arrives during an important year for the band, following international shows in Japan and Portugal and continuing their gradual expansion beyond the Slovak metal scene.
“VOID” focuses on a contradiction that has become increasingly familiar: being constantly connected while feeling emotionally disconnected. Surrounded by notifications, endless information and continuous digital noise, people have more ways to communicate than ever before, yet genuine connection can sometimes feel increasingly difficult to find. Stercore channels that tension into a track that fits naturally within the band's modern and heavy musical identity.
A Major International Year for Stercore
The release follows one of the most internationally active periods in Stercore's career. In March 2026, the band toured Japan alongside Born of Osiris and Signs of the Swarm, marking their first performances in the country and introducing their music to Japanese audiences.
Their international run continued later in the year with an appearance at Vagos Metal Fest in Portugal, further extending the band's presence outside Slovakia.
With “VOID,” Stercore are not simply adding another single to their catalogue. The track represents another step in a musical direction they have been developing for years, combining elements of death metal, hardcore and electronic music within a contemporary metal framework.
From Ravens Nest to The Death Head
Formed in Slovakia in 2012, Stercore first began attracting attention with the seven-track demo Ravens Nest in 2013. The release was soon followed by their debut EP, Fake World, issued through Rest Of Noise Productions.
Despite several personnel changes over the years, the band continued developing its sound while maintaining a strong live presence. In 2017, Stercore released the Eternal Sunlight EP through Slovak Metal Army.
The singles “Brother” and “Delirium” followed, both produced by István Simon of No Silence Studios. These tracks helped establish the direction that would eventually lead to Stercore's first full-length album, Indifference, released in 2019 through Gothoom Productions.
Stercore later expanded their international profile with “Desperate,” a collaboration featuring the vocalist of Thy Art Is Murder. The band also earned a place among Impericon's Top 25 bands in the Next Generation vote, adding further momentum to their growing reputation.
Their second full-length album, The Death Head, arrived in 2022, once again through Gothoom Productions, continuing the band's progression within the modern metal scene.
Stercore Enter a New Chapter with “VOID”
Fourteen years after their formation, Stercore continue to evolve rather than remain tied to a single corner of the metal spectrum. Their combination of death metal weight, hardcore aggression and electronic elements has gradually developed into a sound that reflects both their roots and their willingness to move beyond conventional genre boundaries.
The Japan tour with Born of Osiris and Signs of the Swarm, their appearance at Vagos Metal Fest and now the release of “VOID” make 2026 another significant chapter in Stercore's history.
With their international presence continuing to grow, “VOID” finds the Slovak band looking outward while addressing something deeply rooted in contemporary life: a world that never stops communicating but does not always manage to connect.
Stercore – “VOID” is out now.
