Dave Lombardo, Tyler Bates And GUNSHIP Collaborate On New Single

Former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo has joined forces with film composer and producer Tyler Bates and British synth-wave band GUNSHIP on their new single, “Revolution.exe.” The track was released through Bates’ label Gravel And Echo Recordings and brings together hard rock and electronic elements with GUNSHIP’s retro-futuristic sound and Bates’ cinematic approach.

The song explores themes of power, control and indifference. Bates and GUNSHIP previously worked together on “Berserker” several years ago, with “Revolution.exe” continuing their collaboration. Bates also praised Lombardo’s drumming on the new track.

The writing and production process was carried out remotely by Bates and GUNSHIP across different time zones. Grammy-winning engineer Robert Carranza handled the mixing, while Stefan Brown of Abbey Road Studios took care of the mastering.
