Tech-Deathcore Relief: MA'ZOR Unleash the Brutality of "Mirrors"

From the Haifa district of Israel comes MA'ZOR [Hebrew: מָזוֹר]—a name that translates to "cure, medicine, relief." While their name suggests healing, their music is a merciless dose of sophisticated, modern extreme metal. Formed in 2017, the band has just stepped into a compelling new era, heralded by their blistering single, "Mirrors."

This new track, accompanied by an Official Visualizer, is a showcase of their highly technical and aggressively melodic sound.

"Mirrors": Fast, Melodic, and Brutally Sophisticated

"Mirrors" is explicitly categorised as a Tech-Deathcore metal song, and it lives up to the title. The band promises that it is one of their "heaviest brutal songs" and a perfect addition for any playlist demanding speed, melody, and raw force.

The track showcases MA'ZOR's refined new lineup:

• Vocals: Led by the brutal force of new vocalist Joseph Haimov, the band has injected a renewed sense of aggression into their sound.
• Rhythm Section: The "heavy and sophisticated core" is powered by drummer Leon Azatyan and bassist Nadav Dadon, providing the tight, complex foundation essential for the tech-deathcore genre.
• Guitars: The sound is "seasoned with melodic yet dramatic guitar harmonies" courtesy of Lior Gurevich and Ori Bar On, ensuring the brutality never overshadows musicality.

This track represents the band’s mastery in fusing modern realms of music with extreme metal intensity, highlighting their technical proficiency and production prowess.

The New Era After Dybbuk

"Mirrors" follows their 2025 EP, Dybbuk (named after the malevolent possessing spirit in Jewish folklore), which was released after the band parted ways with their former female singer. With the arrival of Joseph Haimov, the band has transitioned into a period of intensified aggression, as evidenced by this new material.

MA'ZOR is clearly a band focused on growth and sonic complexity. "Mirrors" is an essential listen for fans who crave technicality and crushing power delivered with razor-sharp precision.
