Irrational Cause - Ashes (Music Video)

Irrational Cause Ignites the Future with "Ashes"

Hailing from Helsinki, Finland, Irrational Cause is setting a fierce tone for their future with their crushing new lead single, "Ashes."

Following a lineup change in 2024, the band has perfected their creative blend of metalcore and melodic death metal, a sound that will immediately appeal to fans of modern metal giants like Architects, As I Lay Dying, and Parkway Drive.

"Ashes" delivers everything the modern heavy listener craves: hard and heavy riffs that flow into instantly catchy, melodic choruses. But Irrational Cause isn't afraid to push the envelope, bravely combining these core elements with smashing deathcore-esque breakdowns, atmospheric passages, and massive synths to keep you on your toes.

A Soundtrack to Hopelessness

The lyrical themes of Irrational Cause revolve around lies, conspiracies, war, and the deeply ingrained emotions of loss, deception, and cruelty. "Ashes" is the perfect vehicle for this bleak outlook, with vocalist Joonas Hiltunen stating:

“This song depicts the hopelessness of our generation and the choices that are made for us without our consent. People are too afraid to change, the world is burning down to Ashes and there’s nothing we can do about it.”

The track masterfully explores the futility of chasing meaning when our choices are predetermined, providing a powerful, high-speed soundtrack to our modern existential dread.

Irrational Cause is:

• Joonas Hiltunen - Vocals
• Kalle Manninen - Guitars
• Rasmus Hietanen - Guitars
• Miikka Korpela - Bass
• Lassi Rinne - Drums
