Altered State: Blood of the Argonaut Unleashes Punk Metal Fury from Birmingham

Get ready to plunge into a pit of groove-laden chaos, because the Birmingham Metal Hardcore outfit Blood of the Argonaut is slamming the door open on their debut album, ‘The Brutal Truth,’ with the blistering first single: "Altered State."

Is it three minutes of Punk Metal Fury? Check. Razor wire riffarola? Absolutely. Pummelling sledgehammer beats? Without a doubt.

"Altered State" is the definitive statement from a band that wears its influences on its sleeve while forging a sound entirely its own. Hailing from the heart of England's metal heritage, Blood of the Argonaut takes the best parts of hardcore and metal—drawing inspiration from titans like Biohazard, Terror, Madball, Metallica, Tool, Downset, and Comeback Kid—and fuses them into an explosive new strain. You'll find the old-school punk metal fury mixed seamlessly with head-nodding nu-metal groove and a touch of atmospheric menace.

And the music video? It’s a sensory overload designed to match the track's intensity. Prepare your eyes for a "visual feast of culture war mayhem vs and hallucinogenic circus trip extravaganza." It’s a chaotic, vibrant, and utterly brutal spectacle that perfectly complements the band's sonic assault.

If your playlist craves ferocious energy, punishing rhythms, and riffs that cut like shattered glass, "Altered State" is your new obsession. Blood of the Argonaut isn't just releasing an album; they are unleashing The Brutal Truth.
