Belgian Grind/Death Trio BARREN Releases New Single "Blades" from Upcoming Album 'Verderf'

Belgian grind/death metal trio BARREN keeps the momentum going with "Blades", the second single taken from their upcoming sophomore album, "Verderf". Following their debut record I, the new album will be released in September via Selfmadegod Records.

Regarding the new track, Matías Dupont explains:

"Blades envisions a world where war is not an anomaly, but humanity's purest instinct. Driven by an insatiable hunger for power, mankind leaves only an endless wasteland of violence in its wake."

Verderf presents BARREN, consistently developing its vision of musical extremity, pushing its uncompromising combination of grindcore and death metal to even greater levels of brutality and intensity.

About BARREN & Their Legacy

Formed in 2017, BARREN features current and former members of Agathocles, Aborted, Emeth, and Suppository. Embracing the self-styled banner of “chainsaw grind,” the band channels the classic HM-2 buzzsaw tone of Swedish death metal to create a dense, crushing wall of guitar and bass, fueled by relentless blast beats and unpredictable tempo shifts.

Having previously performed at major festivals such as Obscene Extreme, Deathfeast Open Air, Grind After Death, and Grind the Nazi Scum, the band continues to affirm their place among grindcore’s most promising acts globally.
