Alien Orchestra - The Last Horizons (Music Video)

A Triumphant Return: Alien Orchestra Unveils "The Last Horizons"

After a four-year battle with leukaemia forced a hiatus, the Oslo-based cinematic metal project Alien Orchestra, led by mastermind Jan Batista Mojdis, is triumphantly back with the brand new single and music video, "The Last Horizons."

This track is more than just a song; it is a deeply emotional, life-affirming cinematic progressive rock/metal instrumental born directly from Mojdis's harrowing, life-altering experience. As a true survivor, Jan has poured his entire heart and soul into "The Last Horizons," marking it as a powerful testament to second chances.

Adding serious weight and talent to this monumental release, the track features guest performances from some of Scandinavia's finest: Mats Haugen from Circus Maximus and Simen Sandnes from Evergrey on drums. The collaboration weaves the grandeur of progressive metal with the high-stakes emotion of cinematic scoring.

Since its formation in 2014 and the release of the debut EP Fall Of Mars, Alien Orchestra has carved out a unique space in the "cinematic metal" genre, blending metal music with trailer, ambient, and soundtrack elements. Known for exploring themes of the deep universe, extraterrestrial life, and Nordic nature (as heard on the 2021 track 'Dark Nordic Dramæ'), this new single shifts the focus inward, delivering a deeply personal and epic soundscape.

A Dedication to Hope:

"The Last Horizons" is the lead-up to a new 6-track mini-album, scheduled for release this December. Jan Mojdis has announced a poignant dedication for the forthcoming EP: it will be focused and dedicated to all children battling leukaemia.

Witness the powerful visual journey accompanying this track. This is not just metal; it is a survival set to music.
