Ukrainian death metal legends Fleshgore release a brand new bone-crushing album this year. They’re regarded as one of the leading bands in the Ukrainian death metal scene and it’s easy to see why – they’re extremely competent, pushing the envelope by mixing influences of death metal bands that are brutal and technical while keeping their original brute sound intact, and delve into innovative bits every now and then. Their music can be compared to bands like Dying Fetus, Suffocation, Wormed and Virulency – sick, intricate and replete with endless variations. It’s not often to come across such a power-packed album that manages to do all this much and more. Backed with a robust production, Fleshgore are not leaving little to the imagination – you’ll feel their forceful delivery. Multiple listens are in order to fully decipher this monstrous yet intelligent album.
