Strychnos New Album “Armageddon Patronage” To Be Released In May, New Single Out Now

Danish black/death metal band Strychnos will release a new album on 17th May. The world recently got its first taste of the mayhem with the single “Winds Warning The Final Storm”. The album, entitled Armageddon Patronage, is the band’s follow-up to their 2022 debut, A Mother’s Curse.

The album was seen as a natural progression from the band’s debut, according to Strychnos bassist and vocalist Martin Leth Andersen.

“The band seeks to refine and push further key elements from the debut—in ways of both aggressiveness and the more atmospheric parts. This follow-up also showcases an array of new details like alternative instrumentation, vocal variations, intros, outros, and a couple of noticeable guest appearances.”

Speaking of guest appearances, Strychnos has revealed that Armageddon Patronage will feature none other than Volbeat’s Michael Poulsen. Lending his voice to the track “Endless Void Dimension”, Poulsen’s involvement shouldn’t come as a surprise as he’s been following the band for some time. He’s such a stan that he’s expressed his love for the band on social media.

Armageddon Patronage was recorded and mixed by Lasse Ballade at Ballade Studios in Copenhagen and mastered by Necromorbus’ Tore Stjerna. The artwork for the album was created by Phoebus Moreleón/Lïv & Död.
