Italian death metal force CONGIURA reveal an official videoclip for the song ‘Requiem For Humanity’ from their upcoming sophomore album ‘Requiem’, to be released in January 2020.
‘Requiem for Humanity’ is a journey through the deepest anguishes of soul, focused on the eternal struggle between what we would have imagined to be and what we truly are. A melodic death sound matched with the funerary march of requiem is strengthened by a cold coloured videoclip shot amongst the spectacular mountains of Abruzzo region in Italy.
Congiura commented : ‘We couldn’t wait to put our new single ‘Requiem For Humanity’ out and share our music with you all. Shooting this video was a truly challanging yet amazing experience. We had the privilege to work with the talented director Mauro Pagliai, who managed to achieve the best visual result we could obtain from this restless process. The time has come and ‘Requiem’s release is getting closer and closer, so stay tuned for more details to be revealed very soon …’
The song features a guest perfromance by Marco Mastrobuono (Hour Of Penance) on lead guitars.
Videoclip directed and shot by Mauro Pagliai.
CONGIURA’s full-length ‘Requiem’, the band’s sophomore album, blends an obscure old school sound with epic and melodic death metal in the likes of At The Gates, Bloodbath and Insomnium, expressing the band’s very personal view on human mental disorders and struggles.
Recorded, mixed and mastered at Kick Recording Studio in Rome by Marco Mastrobuono (Fleshgod Apocalypse, Hour Of Penance).
Out on 11th January 2020.
