Jacksonville, Florida’s Ascendence have released their latest track, “The Monstar” (feat. CJ McCreery), a message to all who oppose them and a venomous jab to the naysayers. The lyrics showcase a direct, yet sarcastic response from lead vocalist Jordan Killcore, addressing his reputation and being deemed “The Monster.” The track reveals his acceptance of the title, with no signs of the criticism slowing his drive or creative will. “The Monstar” is a unique fusion of metalcore, rap, nu-metal, and pop. Electronically-charged riffs with trap-influenced beats, and a classic 2000s style range of vocals, from melodic to pure guttural fury.
