New Metal Bands #9

MetallicBrains Metal Radio

Hello Everyone

As you know, I was doing the New Metal Bands series on YouTube by putting excerpts from the bands' songs on YouTube. Eight issues are behind me, and I introduced about 80 bands. But since I can't get much interaction on YouTube, both due to algorithm problems and copyright issues, I am converting the YouTube series back to BLOG content.

As I said before, since the purpose of this section is to introduce the bands, I do not reflect my likes and comments too much in this content.

In this section, you will have access to the bands' introductions and all of their songs. You can also follow them on YouTube or social media!

See you soon!

Cavemode - Bloodspiller

Bloodspiller by Cavemode from Russia is the first EP in the Slamming Brutal Death Metal genre, with a minimal influence of beatdown hardcore. The tracks are inspired by horror-slasher films such as Friday the 13th, The Town That Dreaded Sundown and Terrifier. Featuring heavy slam riffs and guttural vocals, the album will appeal not only to Slam Death Metal fans but also to Deathcore fans. This dark and intense sound puts you in the atmosphere of slasher-horror aesthetics.

Chronepsis - Well Fed Hexahedron

Emerging from the depths of South Jersey, Chronepsis performs quality Death metal. The band's aim is to make your soul bleed and fill your veins with intoxicating rage. Chronepsis's song called Well Fed Hexahedron has been released, and it has a brutal sprinkled death metal mood that manages to attract attention with its melodic structure.

Onheil - As Hope Dies

Dutch Blackened Death Metal band ONHEIL continues its 25th anniversary celebration with the re-release of the remastered 2007 single and music video for ‘As Hope Dies’. Originally published as a single on the long-defunct MySpace platform, Swedish metal specialists BLACK LION RECORDS are now reviving the track, making it available today for streaming and download on all major platforms. Now, ‘As Hope Dies’ re-emerges to mark the re-release of ONHEIL’s highly acclaimed albums ‘Razor’ (2009) and ‘Storm Is Coming’ (2014). After lurking in the underground since 1999, it was in 2007 that ‘As Hope Dies’ truly unleashed ONHEIL’s sound into the metal scene.

The basis of ONHEIL's music is furious black and death metal, to which interesting songwriting, memorable hooks and harmonic melodies are added. The music also includes influences from other metal genres, like heavy, thrash and doom metal, often taking it way beyond the borders of traditional extreme metal. ONHEIL was officially started in November 1999 by Amok, releasing 2 demo's and a successful EP. It was March 2007 when ‘The New ONHEIL’ arose. This new line-up consisted of 3 guitarists and 2 lead singers, giving the band more possibilities to expand their own unique blackened metal sound.

Consumed By Vultures - Anomalia

Anomalia is the new single from Consumed by Vultures, an intense and visceral journey that explores the concept of life as an anomaly. The track dives into themes of existential conflict, suppressed hope, and the search for true purpose. Vesperá - Where Dignity Goes to Die

Vesperá, formed by J.W., emerged straight from the NWI punk scene, initially drawing inspiration from bands like Black Flag, Eyehategod, and Fugazi. Over time, Vesperá’s sound evolved into something far darker and more extreme, blending metal with a depressive atmosphere. Just two years later, Vesperá gained new momentum with the addition of commanding frontman Corvus (G.R.) on vocals, followed shortly by Serbian tattoo artist Curser on bass, solidifying the band’s international presence. What began as a one-man extreme metal project transformed into a progressive post-black metal act, giving birth to the self-destructive sound for which they are known today.
