Cultic - Nomad (Official Video)

Riding Into Darkness With Dungeon Metal’s Fiercest Warriors

From the shadows of Yoe, Pennsylvania, Cultic return with their most crushing creation yet. Forged in the grim fires of death doom, first-wave black metal, and punk grit, the trio have built a sound that’s as raw as it is immersive, layering their assault with ominous dungeon synth passages and sinister fantasy lore.

Formed in 2016 by husband-and-wife duo Brian Magar (guitar/vocals) and Rebecca Magar (drums), later joined by Andrew Harris (bass), Cultic first staked their claim with High Command (2019) — a war cry from the abyss. They expanded their mythos with Of Fire and Sorcery (2022), weaving haunting dungeon synth into their sonic tapestry. The 2023 maxi-single Seducer proved they were unafraid to push their own boundaries, fusing death doom, black metal, martial industrial, and dungeon synth into one blistering storm.

Now, with their new full-length album Lore on the horizon via Crucial Blast, Cultic are raising the stakes once again. Their latest single, “Nomad”, is a dungeon metal anthem built on churning riffs, pounding war drums, and the defiant cry to RIDE FREE. The track tells the tale of a lone warrior seizing ancient secrets from a dying kingdom — a dark legend set to the ferocity of extreme doom and blackened fury.

The official video, which premiered exclusively on Decibel Magazine, captures the raw spirit of Cultic’s vision: grim, unrelenting, and steeped in the atmosphere of their ever-expanding dark fantasy world. It’s another chapter in the dungeon saga they’ve been weaving since day one, one that fans of Celtic Frost, Hellhammer, and Winter will instantly feel in their bones.

🔥 Watch “Nomad” now and prepare for Cultic’s dungeon gates to swing wide open in 2025.
