Corbian - Save Yourself (Music Video)

Hybrid Metal at Its Most Emotional – Corbian Unleash Save Yourself

Germany’s Corbian return with their latest single “Save Yourself”, a track that perfectly embodies their self-described Hybrid Metal approach. Blending elements of metalcore, melodic death metal, and deathcore, the band crafts a sound that is both emotionally charged and heavy-hitting.

Recorded at Pariah Music Studio and mixed/mastered by Felix Gehrke, the track benefits from a polished yet aggressive production that lets both the melodic and brutal sides of the song shine. The accompanying music video, filmed by Kevin Spielmann, visually reinforces the emotional intensity running through the track.

“Save Yourself” is driven by themes of regret, broken trust, and the painful acceptance of failure in a relationship. Lines like “These are the saddest words I’ve ever written, because all of this, yeah, it is my fault” cut deep, showing vulnerability rarely expressed with such rawness in heavy music. The balance between heartfelt clean lines and crushing harsh vocals amplifies the feeling of inner conflict, pulling listeners into the struggle.

Musically, Corbian seamlessly shift between soaring melodies, tight breakdowns, and dark, heavy riffing. The chorus carries a haunting, almost anthemic quality, while the heavier sections ground the song in intensity. It’s the kind of track that could hit just as hard live in a sweaty club as it does blasting through headphones.

With “Save Yourself”, Corbian prove once again that Hybrid Metal isn’t just a label — it’s a wide-open creative field. They bring together multiple modern metal subgenres into something fresh, emotional, and devastatingly heavy. Fans of metalcore, melodic death, and deathcore alike will find something here to resonate with.
