WHIPLASH Announces New Album “Roar”
New Jersey thrash metal veterans WHIPLASH have announced their signing with Time To Kill Records and their new album “Roar.” The band’s eighth studio album will be released worldwide on November 27, 2026.
Recorded at Studio Mozart and Concrete Island Studio, the album was produced by Tony Portaro and mixed by Jamie King Audio. “Roar” features 10 tracks, including “Sonic Asylum,” “Bullet Train” and “Who Stole My Whiskey.”
The album was previously made available in a strictly limited form during WHIPLASH’s European “Campaign For Musical Destruction Tour” with Napalm Death, where a small number of CD promos were distributed under the original title “Thrashquake.” For its official worldwide release, the album has been renamed “Roar” and features new artwork by legendary illustrator Ed Repka.
Formed in Passaic, New Jersey, in 1984, WHIPLASH currently features Tony Portaro on vocals and guitar, William Winton on bass, and Mitch Hull on drums.
