Vermintide – as in “sea of vermin” – implies that the 8 billion people living on this planet are nothing but vermin devouring and destroying it. There are so many horrendous acts of brute aggression, hatred, ignorance and indifference that the only way to mentally deal with this is to express the disdain through extremely heavy music and lyrics that scream at (and about) this reality. The music is heavily inspired by death metal and grindcore, although one also could hear strong influences of punk and thrash metal. Vermintide is a side project of Andrey Galchevski (the drummer at Insapient and Strident (Israel)).
