IMMOLATION Announce New Album Descent, Unleash “Adversary” Single + Video

New York death metal titans IMMOLATION have officially kicked off 2026 with devastating intent, announcing their long-awaited 12th studio album, Descent, due out on April 10, 2026, via Nuclear Blast Records.

Alongside the album reveal, the band also dropped the first single “Adversary”, a track that wastes no time reminding everyone why Immolation remain one of the genre’s most militant and uncompromising institutions.

Descent – confirmed tracklist

1. These Vengeful Winds
2. The Ephemeral Curse
3. God’s Last Breath
4. Adversary
5. Attrition
6. Bend Towards the Dark
7. Host 8. False Ascent
9. Banished
10. Descent

The official music video for “Adversary” is not a label-crafted afterthought either: it was directed by Immolation guitarist Robert Vigna, keeping the visual language tightly aligned with the band’s own aesthetic and spirit. The clip was filmed by Angelo Damanti at Dark City Studios (Yonkers, NY), capturing Immolation in a raw performance setting rather than hiding behind overproduced cinematic tricks.

With Descent, Immolation seem poised to expand on the oppressive grandeur of their recent era while sharpening their weapons for another campaign of dissonant riff warfare, cavernous atmosphere, and Ross Dolan’s unmistakable command. For underground death metal loyalists, April 10, 2026, is now officially marked as a date of descent.
