The Turkish band DEMIFRAG put this year their first self-titled cd on the market.
The intro which is made of linguistic collages and which gets along only with a synthesizer as background music already shows a gloomy picture of violence, war and hopelessness. The following song “Respect Or Die“ shows the true musical bands’ face. Old school Death Metal is celebrated here. Fresh and without any flourishes, straight and dirty. Uncompromising songs from the street which contain hate and anger in large quantities within itselves. Traditional, howling Thrash Metal riffs have a lot of power and energy. They confirm the snotty street attitude of the band. Recorded with a lot of committment and with much blood, sweat and tears you should listen to “Demifrag“ by all means!!!!
