VENEROR ”Percussimus Foedus cum Morte”

New Era Productions – 2013 – Italy

At the beginning of this year the Italians VENEROR published their first full-length cd which is called “Percussimus Foedus Cum Morte“ via New Ara Productions.

They start here spheric and full of melodies with “Impervio“. But, don’t worry! It doesn’t remains that calm and relaxed! At the following song “The Wings Of Daimon Sethos“ at the latest the sympathetic listener knows where the musical journey will they lead to. You can hear henchforth here Black Metal of the melodic kind. Pitch-black tones mixed with melodies results in a dense sound carpet of hate, melancholy and beauty. The listener is captured in dark worlds which offer no reasonable chance of hope and warmness. The more melodic parts take “Percussimus Foedus Cum Morte“ a bit of hardness without thereby sounding cheerful. Supported by powerful, took a backseat drumming and the distinctive VENEROR manage to create eight songs of morbid, cold beauty. Thereby they manage to remain independent and nevertheless not to deny their musical roots. Apart from that the band seems to be very partial to the Latin language which reflects both at the bands’ name, cd title and names of the bands’ member. Check out VENEROR and build your own opinion!!!
