Great news for all you TRIPTYKON fans out there! The band is working on a new album that we’ve all been waiting for.
After a long break from recording, the amazing Swiss/German avant-garde extreme metal group TRIPTYKON is back! They’re getting together in 2024 to focus on finishing and recording material for the band’s fourth album, which fans have been waiting a long time for. We’re so excited to announce that the LP is scheduled to be released by our amazing longtime music industry partners at Century Media Records/Sony Music Entertainment in 2025! To make this happen, TRIPTYKON (through the band’s own label, Prowling Death Records) signed a new, greatly improved licensing agreement with Century Media Records/Sony Music Entertainment on June 1, 2024. It’s likely that we’ll get to enjoy an EP or even a few sneak peeks of TRIPTYKON’s new music before the album drops!
Once the band is happy with the songwriting and arrangement sessions at their home base in Zurich, Switzerland, TRIPTYKON will move to guitarist V. Santura’s own studios in Bavaria, Germany, to record and mix the album. The album will be produced by the amazing V. Santura and the incredible Thomas Gabriel Fischer (a.k.a. Tom Gabriel Warrior), who is not only the former singer, guitarist, and main songwriter for HELLHAMMER/CELTIC FROST but also the current singer, guitarist, and main songwriter for TRIPTYKON.
It’s so exciting to see what the future holds for TRIPTYKON! They’ve been established as the direct successor to CELTIC FROST, which is really cool. And with these sessions taking place exactly 40 years after CELTIC FROST started work on their debut album, “Morbid Tales,” it’s like we’re witnessing history in the making!
