Despite the extremely difficult situation for musicians and cancelled events all over the world right now, Torture Pit keep giving us good news from their hometown Berlin. Recently the band announced a new online concert which will be streaming on Thursday evening at 20:00 o’clock. If you like death-thrash metal just don’t miss it and check the links below!
Torture Pit is a metal band formed in Berlin in 2007. In 2009 they released their first self-titled album which received consistently good reviews in metal zine reviews. Their single “Upgrade” along with a self- produced video was released in Legacy magazine and the band played concerts in all shapes and forms – from club gigs to festival appearances (Metaldays Slovenia, K17(Berlin), Heavy Duty (Dresden), Zwischenbau (Rostock) and many more).
After several changes in their line-up, Torture Pit returned with another EP “The Assassins Sessions” in 2015 which was also well received. For the following single “Path Of Life (You’re Out)” they have released another video in the same year.
In the meantime, Torture Pit gave concerts on a regular basis and organized a regular annual concert series called “Disciples Of Death” with some friends and partner bands. Additionally, they appeared twice as support for the band Illdisposed (DK) in the Nuke Club (Berlin).
With growing experience, Torture Pit developed stylistically from deathcore to more sophisticated death and thrash metal and are not shy to integrate elements of other subgenres such as doom and progressive metal into their arrangements.
Torture pit are currently working on a new EP which is expected to be released in late 2020. The self- produced debut album as well as the EP are currently in the process of being remastered, partly with new vocals and will once be re-released as a double CD.
