EX CARNIS is still a young band from Iran. They released in September 2012 their debut demo “Death Of The Flesh” in in-house production.
After a heavy, dark instrumental intro it immediately gets down to the nitty-gritty. Coarse Death Metal resounds off my loudspeakers. The songs roll merciless through the listeners’s auditory canals and take hold there. Solid Death Metal song structures come into play with traditional riffs to a deadly symbiosis. The distinctive dark growls outstanding fit in the overall structure. The outro however is very spheric little short of pschedelic tinted. Also keyboard sounds may here not miss. It also gets along without vocals and offers the stark opposite to the two other songs. “Death Of The Flesh” is a very versatile demo which highlights the musical complexity of NEX CARNIS very well. The four songs move all in the mid tempo area. This demo is extremely audible and diversified. Who is into traditional Death Metal with experiments should listen “Death Of The Flesh” by all means. I am anyway very curious what we will still hear from the gents in the future.
