“King” represents rediscovery in a very brutal way. It’s the result of an internal struggle, and the winner is not “the nice guy.” Beyond the gangsta rock vibe we wanted to portray, we chose not to complicate things, and we let people nod along with us, without wracking their brains for the meaning of the moment. One thing is certain: “The king within is what each chooses for himself.”
