The Russians MEISTER LEONHARDT released their debut CD of the same name in February 2012 with the help of Purity Through Fire.
The intro “The Coldest Fire” begins the calm before the storm. Spherically, carried by keyboards, the song slaps away and leads the listener on the wrong musical track at first. But the calm doesn’t last long. The following song ” The Crown Of Consenescence” makes it clear from the first note what is the matter. Raw black metal resounds from my boxes. Hard, cold and of unspeakable hatred. This creates a deep dark, bizarre musical world full of hopelessness and longing for death. Through and through Old School, the songs interspersed with simple riffs that create nothing but darkness. The very emotional growls of Vaarwel allow you to feel emotional pain. Powerful bass lines and haunting but not overlapping, drumming complete the ominous, depressive musical dance. For fans of old school black metal a real celebration.
