Self-Released – 2010 – Canada
Lethal Halo was formed in Canada in 2008 and they released an EP this year. As the band defines themselves as “melodic metal”, actually I was expecting something softer. They were over my expectations.
The band’s style is still melodic metal but the aggressive and screaming vocals gives it a heavier edge. The songs are decorated by melodic riffs and solos, but the drum recordings are not very satisfactory. For this style, I think a more clear and strong drum tones are required. Other than that there is no problem with the other instruments and the vocals.
Other then the production being insufficient, it is a successful band within its genre. I would recommend it to melodic metal fans. You can buy their EP from their site at a reasonable price.
