CARACH ANGREN ”Where the Corpses Sink Forever”

Seasons Of Mist – 2012 – Netherlands

If this album wont help this great Black Metal band from Holland, than I don’t know what will. Until now they brought out 2 albums over a small label and that brought to them some fame in the underground and now they signed to Seasons Of Mist which is a good step to make them more known. Their problem was and is still not lack of talent and their music can stand shoulder by shoulder with the music of Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Borgir and with this album they are able to proof that to a wider audience. On the new album are 9 anthems of dark and symphonic Black Metal in the best vein. From time to time the music here even reminds me the soundtrack to the Harry Potter movies. I mean the darker tracks from that soundtrack. This gives you a good look how the music here sounds if you haven’t heard them already. This album is also a concept album like their previous two albums and the story is very good. One could easily say that this is a horror both in music and story. I am sure that many fans of Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Borgir will like this band if they haven’t heard about them already.

9/10
