GORGUTS ”Pleiades’ Dust”

Seasons of Mist – 2016 – Canada

Promo version of Pleiades Dust for magazines have reached us now and it is gonna released in May 13 from Season of Mist.Gorguts is returning with a 33-minute song entitled Pleidas Dust.Yes,all E.P. album is conceptual and included only one song.Guitar master Luc Lemay and his crew pull us into the depths of their original prog and technical death metal magick, surely I can mention that fans who like Colored Sands album will love this concepted 33mins song, and personally I may describe all of their albums musically masterpieces.New listeners might meet with difficulties to listen if they have no idea what they listen, except that, followers and listeners who know Gorguts can easily get into the 33 mins song.Dark chords, complex and mysterious song compositions, creepy vocals of Lemay, freaky blast beasts…All is Gorguts.Album’s name is written on cover with arabic like alphabets. In an age of a postulated clash of cultures, mastermind Luc Lemay delivers a piece of music that is conceptually and lyrically based on the “House of Wisdom”, a medieval library based in Baghdad and at the heart of the Golden Age of Islam with its many scientific breakthroughs in various fields of learning. As Luc comments: “It is a story about curiosity, beautiful minds and sadly, about how man destroys great discoveries and achievements.” Musically there is more narrative feeling as each section is introduced in such a way that every riff has the space to evolve like a character in a story.’’ Gorguts and Lemay created a bad ass concept which circulated from the past to nowadays,it is a story of a fall from grace.Pleidas Dust is a must to listen,it is listened all in one breath, very dark, very prog and complex. It is a must.
