Afsind is black metal from Copenhagen, Denmark.
The band was formed in 2012 by S and O, with the thought that there should be some new and challenging elements, compared to the type of black metal we had played in the past. In 2016 M joined the band and completed the lineup we know today.
Their self-titled debut album “Afsind” was recorded in the winter of 2020/2021 and is now out on CD and 12″ vinyl through Vendetta Records.
Afsind is mainly inspired by black metal, but we also use elements from other genres. Afsind contains members from Saxtorph, Tugt (session members), ex-Cryosphere, ex-Genfærd, ex-Infernal Death, ex-Myrd, ex-Ravnesort and ex-Vardlokkur.
The lyrical theme is the sinister corners of the human mind.
