This is the first album of this Black/Doom Metal one man project Avernum Whispers. Fabian from the Italian Death Metal band The Ancient War is the mastermind behind this. He does there everything in this project and I must say that he does it very well. This album has 9 songs with an atmosphere which truly is rare these days. The atmosphere here is sometimes very creepy, but I must say that the production of this album is weak and that afflicts the atmosphere very much. It is hard to say if this album would be better with a more powerful production. The music on the other side is very good. This is surely one of the better releases in this year so far.
