Grungar Pro -2013 -Malaysia
Recently I received knowing about a production which already had been released in the year 2012 via Grundar Productions, but it is nevertheless worth being reviewed now. I am talking about the Malaysian band DAMOKIS and their first full-length cd which is called “Grinding Mother Whore“.
What can I expect here? Broadly speaking resounds Grindcore off my loudspeakers. But, who now thinks of monotonous, repetitive thrashing is here clearly wrong. Yes, the gents doesn’t economize on speed. But, the rapidity is variable used so that a certain alternation originates already alone by this issue. Harsh riffs which are nevertheless played multi-variant reinforce independence and aggressiveness of the production. The genre-typical choppy riff elements cater additionally for emphasis and pressure. Each song contains a short sample of a horror movie at the beginning which gives the listener time to breathe air, if only for seconds. The expressive, partially guttural growls affix “Grinding Mother Whore“ their own stamp. You can see the song “Latai Enam“ as a gimmick. It relaxes the hard, harsh atmosphere on a very special kind. The listener must have a good stamina! The songs hit everything which obstruct them. Pure adrenalin! Here show DAMOKIS what Grindcore in the year 2012 is! Very dedicated and forceful produced is “Grinding Mother Whore“ a must-buy for each Grindcore fan!!!!
