INFEST ''Everlasting Genocide'' (26.05.2012)

Grom Records - 2011 - Serbia

Infest is a Death Metal band from Serbia which exits for some time now and they made themselves a name in the international Underground by now. I was amazed to see how many people from outside Serbia mentioned them when they heard that I am from the same country. On this album there are 10 tracks from which one is a cover version of the Old Serbian Metal band Bombarder from the beginning of the 90’s. The older generation might remember them. The songs here on this album are all in the best Death Metal vein without any Melodic Death Metal influences, so I guess that fans of the old Death Metal sound will like them very much if they haven’t heard about them by now. On this album, there are also no slower parts in the songs. Infest play only straight into the face Death Metal. It is hard for me to find a song that is good or bad comparing to the others, they are all good and they are all able to speak for themselves. Also, the album doesn’t sound boring. I would recommend this album to everyone that likes Death Metal and who is disappointed by the old bands who changed too much.

8/10
