MAAT ''Born In Sand'' (21.05.2012)

Self-released - 2010 - Germany

Maat is a new band from Germany which formed in 2009 and released their first EP in 2010. Now I'm listening the bands first release. Yes I always interested in German death metal...

It's a pleasure to listen a band which sounds like Nile (concept, composition structure and vocal style). Production could be more professional but I don't care this for a first release and a new band. I just wanted to hear more strong basses and drums, because song compositions are perfect. As I said first, Maat reminds me Nile in terms of musical style but solos are individual. I should say this, this album smells desert.

Born in Sand includes 4 songs that not enough for me, as a death metal fan. Next time I hope there will be a full length album with professional production. I think they will do it. Don't miss this bands releases and shows. I recommend Maat to death metal fans. This band has a promising future.
