Norway's DARKTHRONE will welcome a new decade with a new album, to be released on Peaceville Records. "Circle The Wagons", a creative feast of metal and punk, will initially be released on vinyl on March 8 through the Peaceville Records webstore as an exclusive taster for the legions of metal supporters out there who still care about great music delivered the classic way. The vinyl will also include a link to download a digital version of the album, which will be available when the regular and special edition CD versions of the album are released on April 6. The special edition is packaged in a natural rough board slipcased digipack with a 24-page booklet, including an additional band history by Fenriz. This deluxe edition also features an exclusive 12-minute video of the band's inspirations for the album, shot at the mastering house in Oslo.

New York hardcore legends SICK OF IT ALL will release their new album,"Based On A True Story", on April 20 via Century Media Records. The follow-up to 2006's "Death To Tyrants" was recorded Antfarm Studios in Århus, Denmark with Danish producer Tue Madsen (HALFORD, BEHEMOTH, KATAKLYSM, THE HAUNTED).
Gothenburg, Sweden-based grindsters EXHALE have inked a deal with Dark Balance Records for the release of their sophomore album, "Blind". The CD, which contains "15 brutal new grindcore/death pieces that will fear you to the bone," will be made available on April 2 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and April 5 in the rest of the world.
MOON, the Polish death/black metal band led by Cezar (CHRIST AGONY), entered Sinquest Studio in Lublin on February 20 to begin recording its third album, "Lucifer's Horns", for an August release. The recording and engineering duties are being handled by Arek "Malta" Malczewski, who has previously worked with BEHEMOTH, among other acts. He will also co-produce the CD, along with Cezar.
"Lucifer's Horns" will be released by Witching Hour Productions on digipack format and as an extra limited package with a digipack and a T-shirt. The LP version will also be made available.
MISERY INDEX's discography collection of splits and EPs, "Pulling Out The Nails" (named after the first song the band wrote), has just been released on CD through the band's own Anarchos Records imprint, and will soon be made available on double vinyl through Power It Up (Germany). It features 30 tracks, including all non-album material from 2001-2008, such as the "Overthrow" and "Dissent" EPs, as well as the splits with STRUCTURE OF LIES, COMMIT SUICIDE, MUMAKIL, and BATHTUB SHITTER, the "Hang 'Em High" 7", live tracks, bonus covers, etc. The compilation was remastered by Scott Hull last year. This CD includes an extensive 24-page booklet of details, notes, pictures, and an all-time list of all the shows MISERY INDEX has performed. The group states, "We hope it's the final representation of the various incarnations of the band in the past eight years."
Swedish death metallers NOMINON will release their fourth album, "Monumentomb", on March 23 via Deathgasm Records. The CD was recorded at Necromorbus Studio (WATAIN, NOMINON, AVERSE SEFIRA, FUNERAL MIST, NEX, ONDSKAPT, MORK GRYNING, ADORIOR) in Alvik, Sweden and was mixed with producer Tore Stjerna.
Swedish metallers IGNEOUS HUMAN have just released the video-clip for the song "Demonride". "Demonride" will also appear in the Swedish movie "The Road Viking" and parts of the movie can be seen in the video clip.

The song comes off the band's debut album, "Demonstrous", which is scheduled for release on February 26 via Massacre Records. The CD, which was made available in Japan on February 17, was recorded in the Bay Area, the Rocky Mountains and Copenhagen (Denmark), and was mixed at Flatline Audio in Denver, Colorado with Dave Otero (CEPHALIC CARNAGE, MARTRIDEN, COBALT).
