Unique Leader Records announced the signing of Denmark's Dawn of Demise to the family. The band has always emphasized heaviness and catchiness, and with 3 successful releases under their belt - their recipe for death metal has remained the same, staying true to the pit-fueled, aggressive slam orientated style. Their 3rd full-length, "Rejoice In Vengeance", will be released this summer. Street date & advanced track announced soon.
Finnish melodic death metallers PAIN CONFESSOR have inked a deal with Spinefarm Records. The band will enter the studio this summer to record its fourth album for a late 2012 release.
Commented PAIN CONFESSOR: "'Three down, fourth to go.' Finally, someone utters. But what's the deal with the new full length? We are rowing a truly grim river. The renewed lineup boasts with vigor to go through a stone wall, the material heavy as a murderer's burden. Is it better than 'Turmoil'? No, it is a completely different record and stands on its own upon fresh soil. The crew's newest inmates bring along a whole new bag of tricks with which to drill deeper into the hidden reaches of human mind with newborn fervor."
Unique Leader announced a multi-album signing with Inanimate Existence, the technical death metal outfit hailing from Californias San Francisco Bay Area. Inanimate Existence brings an onslaught of crushing, true death metal, while pushing the musical envelope with their other-worldly compositions and painstaking writing. Their debut album, Liberation Through Hearing, is set to be released Summer 2012, street date announced soon.
The Band comments:
We are honored to be joining the ranks of death metal titans like Spawn of Possession, Deeds of Flesh, Vile, Disgorge, and more. Much of our influence is drawn from the roots of brutal death metal spawned from Unique Leader, and we are extremely excited to be able to share our work with the world alongside it and everybody else on the label. Expect no less than the absolute pinnacle of creative and brutal technicality on our debut release, and even more to come.
Spanish death metal band AVULSED have parted ways with drummer Ricardo "Riky" Mena.
"We're sorry to communicate you that since last 20th of March, Ricardo Mena (Riky) is no longer the band's drummer. Due to differences on how to deal with different internal issues within the band, we've decided, after a reunion, that the best thing for both parts is not to continue together. No hard feelings, beyond the sadness that all this means for us all.
Due to this, we must announce the cancellation of the performance on the two upcoming festivals in April where AVULSED was going to participate: Thrashway Fest (Oviedo) and Barroselas SWR Fest (Portugal). However, there's a possibility that the last show with the current line-up with Riky might happen at Hellfest in France.
We just want to thank Riky for his eight years of total devotion and profesionalism as a musician and his friendship, that we'll keep, of course. And to wish him the best both on personal and professional on musical matters."
Multi-national thrashers NIGHTRAGE will film a video for an as-yet-undisclosed song off their latest album, "Insidious", on April 28 at the Eightball Club in Thessaloniki, Greece. Directing the clip will be Gabriel Psaltakis, who helmed the latest PSYCHO CHOKE video, "Get Down".
NIGHTRAGE's fifth album, "Insidious", was released last September via Lifeforce Records. The album features guest appearances by Gus G. (OZZY OSBOURNE, FIREWIND), Tomas S. Englund (EVERGREY), Apollo Papathanasio (FIREWIND, SPIRITUAL BEGGARS), John K (BIOMECHANICAL) and the band's former frontman Tomas Lindberg (also known for his work with AT THE GATES, THE CROWN and LOCK UP). Lindberg appeared on the band's first two albums 2003's "Sweet Vengeance" and 2005's "Descent Into Chaos" before being replaced by Jimmie Strimell (now in DEAD BY APRIL), who sang on 2007's "A New Disease Is Born".
DISINTEGRATE's new album "Parasites Of A Shifting Future" is going to be released on July 27, 2012 via Massacre Records.
DISINTEGRATE, hailing from the north of Holland, has a definite preference for well-balanced arrangements and raw, energetic vocal lines, nicely served with a feisty death metal-sauce. Every musician in DISINTEGRATE has the freedom to develop his skills and show his musical prowess, thus creating a grooving mixture of aggression and melody.
DISINTEGRATE is the brain child of Danny Boonstra (vocals + keyboards), Leo van Leijen (guitars) and Jos Hindriks (guitars). When they started the band in 2005, a clear statement was defined outlining the structure and content for DISINTEGRATE: intelligent melodic death/thrash metal with no boundaries.
The band really took flight with the addition of Joran Dijkstra (drums) and Sander Stegeman (bass). By releasing the MCD "Destructive Capacity", the band received a lot of attention and also played on the prestigious Waldrock festival in 2009 alongside bands like Carcass, Killswitch Engage and Heaven & Hell.
Singaporean grind pioneers DEMISOR have officially inked a worldwide deal with Pulverised Records! Formed in 1987, the unsung DEMISOR specialize in sonic devastation with their earliest bout of buzzsaw guitar lashes and maniacal blasts appearing on their Mestectomy and Oral Climax demos released in 1990 and 1992 respectively. Today the epic DEMISOR discography includes over a dozen split releases in true grind fashion. The band is currently penning new material for the upcoming as-yet-untitled EP, which will be released later this year via Pulverised Records.
Commented DEMISOR in a collective statement: "It's an honor to work with Pulverised as we do know of their professionalism towards the core of extreme music. Pulverised indeed gave us the privilege to blast out to the masses our kind of uber obliterating grindcore! The upcoming mini-album will pummel all aspects of grind holocaust that DEMISOR has ever churned out! Be warned!"
Added Pulverised Records A&R Manager Calvin Chiang commented: "It was no coincidence that DEMISOR came to be a part of the Pulverised roster; weve known the guys for years and have always shown a positive interest in releasing something for them but unfortunately, the time was never right as the other members in DEMISOR were heavily involved in their other bands. Towards the end of 2011, we received news that DEMISOR is now officially back in full force and with the new EP planned and as well as a short European tour coming up, there is no other better time than now to solidify the DEMISOR/Pulverised alliance. DEMISOR 2012 will show how grind is properly done!"
In related news, the band recently announced their inclusion on this year's edition of the infamous Obscene Extreme Festival in Trutnov, Czech Republic. DEMISOR will share the stage with 69 bands including Exhumed, the reunited Nasum, Asphyx, Discharge, Poison Idea, Cephalic Carnage and many more. In conjunction with their stop at the fest, and in promotion of their upcoming EP, DEMISOR wil embark on a mini European tour. Further info to be announced soon.

A one-minute teaser for "Reign Supreme", the new album from Maryland extreme metallers DYING FETUS, is available below. Due on June 17 via Relapse Records, the CD was recorded at Wrightway Studios in Baltimore with longtime producer Steve Wright (SLIPKNOT, MISERY INDEX). The effort will feature nine tracks and is "a 'return to roots,' with production focused slightly more on slam than in the band's last few works," according to a press release. "Thematically, the album is set to be a good old-fashioned piece of social and political commentary in the style of DYING FETUS as we have come to know."
Commented DYING FETUS guitarist/vocalist John Gallagher: "The last album had some groove in it, but [it] was basically a lot of tech; this one is a return to form of older DYING FETUS albums, so to speak more modern production, though, of course. Everything's tight, the sound is crushing, the drums are amazing."
