Irish tech death outfit Dichotomy will release 'Paradigms' the band's debut album this August 14th. The album will be available physically as well as for digital download.
The five piece melodic tech-death metal band hailing from Dublin, Ireland draw influences from bands such as Death, Necrophagist, Gojira and Opeth and was formed in 2010 by guitarists Andy Kealy & Rats with a mind to combine the technicality of death metal with the groove and musicality of other genres. After establishing a lineup in 2010 the band began writing material under the name Dichotomy to suitably describe the contrasting styles used in the music. Summer 2012 bore the fruits of their hard labour as the band took up residence at the world renowned Westland Studios in Dublin to record 'Paradigms' with producer Alwyn Walker.
"Paradigms is about a multiple of things." comments lead guitarist Steven 'Rats' Rahaman. "The 5 of us wanted to get together and write music that we would be happy to listen to ourselves. we all individually have a varied taste in music and style so the music we created had allot of contrast so the name Dichotomy was chosen. The lyrics themselves in Paradigms create a collection of dichotomies. So in a nutshell you could say that 'Paradigms' is about the band name which is about the music."

Canadian indie metal label, Spread The Metal Records is proud to announce its latest signing of Israeli death grinders WHORECORE for the vinyl and digital release of their new album 'Headless' this coming fall.
"The Middle East is a largely neglected area of the metal world, and Whorecore has the potential to change that. They live in Israel, right in the middle of things that we've only heard stories about. That stuff changes you, and impacts the kind of music you write. Their album is heavy, aggressive, powerful and has a ton of heart. I couldn't be more proud to be associated with these guys." comments Matt Day of STM.
STM is streaming the first single 'Release Through Torture', listen it below.
Death/thrash metallers HATE HANDLES released videos of their guitars and vocals recordings for "Die In Hands of Believers", the band's debut album, which is being recorded in Estúdio Nitro, with production by the band itself and Roger Fingle (Blood Tears, Seduced by Suicide). Check out some of the videos below:About the recordings the guitarist Maicon Dorigatti comments: "When we started the recording process we were still finishing some of the songs, mainly the last three that we recorded. That definitely slowed down the release but it gave us more time to work on each idea and now we can say we reached our goal. All 9 songs clearly are part of the same work, with all the rhythmic and melodic elements of our music, but with an unique approach in each of them. The recording process is going great and right now we have 90% of the album recorded, with just a few vocals and solos left."

Extreme/Industrial metal legends ABORYM, featuring musicians of Emperor and Hour Of Penance fame, have released a video-clip for the title-track of their new album, "Dirty". Ironic in its outcome, the video deals with a "distressing and confusional situation, blurring the borderline between nightmares, memories and drug inducted hallucinations" (Alberto Falcone, director). Featuring all three band members as well as actors, the clip was filmed in Italy and can be viewed below.Commented by the video director, Alberto Falcone: "At the first listening of "Dirty" by Aborym, I got projected in a dark world, where I could see the worst of every human. My aim was to tell a distressing and confusional situation, blurring the borderline between nightmares, memories and drug inducted hallucinations. The Pub where the story is set becomes populated by different apathetic idiot savants, each and every of them isolated in their own desperation. The few interactions that exist between them turn tragically. And then there's Luna, who stands still and feels passively all that happens and surrounds her. It was a terrific experience to shoot this video and meet the band members of Aborym, especially because i'm a faithful fan since the release of Kali Yuga Bizzare."
German extreme metallers SEPTEMBER MURDER have recently launched a full album stream of their new output "He Who Invokes Decadence".
The album was released on June 17 (Europe) and June 18 (worldwide) as an independent release. The follower-up to the debut long player " Agony in Flesh" (2009 - Maintain Rec./Twilight Distribution) has been produced by Jens Martinek at his Schmiedeberg 7 Studios in Rübeland, Germany and was mastered in early 2013 by Peter Neuber at Mega Wimp Sound Studios, Berlin, who has previously done work with NASUM, VOMITORY, PRIMORDIAL and WAR FROM A HARLOTS MOUTH. The artwork was done by Christian Herzer from GUULarts.
The band comments on their decision for an independent output as follows: "Contrary to all options we decided to release the album by ourselves and not drop back within the march of time. During the last years, times and conditions have changed enormously and the chances for young and free artists to release their works were rarely as good as they are today. In the end, we just want to keep making music and bring it closer to our fans."
Vocalist Oliver comments the lyrical direction: "'He Who Invokes Decadence' is more than just a classical death metal parole. The title of the album allegorizes the cry for the most aggressive form of human affection - charity. Man's abasement of morality and violation of borders between the societal credo and the implicitness of its forcible participation are essential topics of the lyrics on this long player."
After the withdrawal of bass player Guntar Elsaßer in 2011, the band found an adequate successor in Marcus Kühne (also known from German death/grinders METZGORE) and concentrated on finishing the song material for the upcoming album. The band concentrated on a more open conceptual work and a refined sound to overcome boundaries drawn by genre conventions.
According to a press release, SEPTEMBER MURDER's " After Every Setting Sun" EP (November 2007) drew the attention of the European press with its explosive sound that has been described as a mixture of CANNIBAL CORPSE, ENTOMBED and SUFFOCATION.

Blackened folk metal duo Moss Of Moonlight have released a lyric video for Eole taken from the bands upcoming album Winterwheel which is scheduled for release June 21st, 2013.
Singer, drummer and percussionist Jenn Grunigen comments on the song: Eole is a song about Hretha, a little-known Anglo Saxon goddess. Because not much is known about her, we took some liberties in creating a mythic cycle of her own--a depiction that is, in all likelihood, utterly wrong. But this album is not just about adhering to ancient ways--it's about creating new ones (and one common interpretation of Hretha is that she's associated with rebirth). Humans are not what they once were, for better and worse. So, this song tells of humanity's power to give life--even to goddesses; it's the story of an elk and her feral, wandering goddess-companion whose life force thrives in human blood.
Described as "a true rarity in the black metal genre" by Pure Gain Audio, 'Winterwheel' follows the highly acclaimed debut 'Seed', a concept album about a band of Pacific North Western rebels that rise up and create the Republic of Cascadia. 'Winterwheel' digs deeper into the earth; a 45 minute trance into the otherworlds. Using Anglo-Saxon chanting, haunting female vocals, visceral growls, and a giant atmosphere, Moss of Moonlight has put ancient Pagan ritual into song. It's an album of Anglo Saxon gods and primal Paganism and as the band says, "it reaches far beyond 'Seed', into colder and darker territories."
Winterwheel is a ritual put to song. It embraces the turning of the seasons, and the necessary, vicious loop of birth and death states Jenn Grunigen. Each song delves into the nature of a different Anglo Saxon god or goddess, and is steeped in the old, cyclic roads of our Pagan ancestors, as well as the very language of the Anglo Saxons. With this wisdom and craft, we made new rites--in other words, Winterwheel, this sacrifice to the gods, the cosmos. With each play, the ritual is brought to life once more, and anyone willing to listen is a participant in the offering.
