Now EXHUMATIONs second opus is ready, and it is colder and more pitiless than the first release. Still it relies on its Eastern Asian roots; but now they are buried underneath a thick layer of classical Death Metal which has an uncanny resemblance to the Black Metal of the late 80s.
In little more than one month CORPUS CHRISTII will release their new album. "PaleMoon" will be available from March 30th 2015 on Folter Records. To give you another insight in the newest work of the Portugese Black Metallers, they have now unleashed another track called "Night Of Flaming Hatred"

A really highly recommended work for all of you who miss the lost essence of the original Black Metal in the early nineties, the one who played Gorgoroth, Zyklon-B, Immortal or Mayhem... six tracks that are a sonic steamroller full of sickly hate and bad mood, six tracks than be easily described with an only word, the one who entitles the EP, Black...

In the twilight zone between doom and post metal resides Oceanwake, a broad-minded group of musicians from the small Finnish coastal town of Luvia. They are now set to release their sophomore album Sunless, which will be out on March 13 via Swedish label ViciSolum Productions. Oceanwake's debut album Kingdom already gathered positive reviews, but it's fair to say that Sunless is on a wholly different level in terms of songwriting. Its four lengthy tracks form a coherent album while still retaining the sense of adventure and also pushing the envelope of what can be considered metal. The album was co-produced by the Korpiklaani mainman Jonne Järvelä. He brought in the missing ingredient with his crystal clear mixing that really appreciates the organic and dynamic sound of Oceanwake.
The chief song architect of Oceanwake, Ville-Veikko Laaksonen, explains the story of Sunless:
"On 'Kingdom' the main character was under water, figuratively speaking, with his hopes and demons. This time around he finally reaches the surface, but only to realize that all hope and images of salvation are a sunless space and escapism gone wrong. Even though he really wants to see a glimpse of something better, his own mind keeps drawing him back to the dark depths.
To celebrate the release of Sunless, Oceanwake will perform the album in its entirety at Bar Kino, Pori on March 13. Prior to this, Oceanwake appears as a special guest of Moonsorrow at Klubi, Lutakko, Jyväskylä (Feb 28).
Voices about Oceanwake:
"Oceanwake skillfully capitalizes on dynamics, dramatics and mood shifts. One moment their music is heavy as lead, the next it's hovering above the stratosphere. Whatever they do, it's always executed with a sense of style. 'Sunless' rewards those who enjoy long, slow and meandering songs. If you're into instant radio hits, don't bother. - Markus Laakso/Kuolemanlaakso
"Oceanwake know the soundscapes like they know their hometown. The balance between atmospheric and aggressive is quite right. It definitely would not make them any justice to squeeze them into post-this and post-that categories. I'd say this is first-rate buzzing! - Ville Sorvali/Moonsorrow
"Hell yes! Great and versatile doomy riffings with post-elements. Sunless is definitely a strong album which keeps you inside the world of Oceanwake!" - Jarno Salomaa/Shape of Despair
2013 saw UK death thrashers make waves with the release of their second album At First Light but with things slowing down late last year the band have struck again out of the blue with a premiere of a brand new music video, 'The Storm', taken from At First Light.

After revealing the new album cover in December, Polish extreme black/death metal beasts INFERNAL WAR have unveiled further details on their long-awaited 3rd studio instalment entitled "Axiom". Featuring 11 new tracks, the release will be launched on April 17th in Europe and April 21st in North America via Agonia Records.
"Axiom" was recorded, mixed and mastered in No Solace Studio with M. (Mgła/Kriegsmaschine), who also guest appears on the album on vocals. The 11 new songs on "Axiom" clock in at around 42 minutes. The album cover was created by Mentalporn.
"Hurt Yourself and The Ones You Love" is the title of the new album by Italy's notorious purveyors of black/doom metal, FORGOTTEN TOMB. The band's highly anticipated 8th studio opus is scheduled for release via Agonia Records, on April 17th in Europe and April 21st in North America. Album cover is available below.
The new album is a "mix of melancholy, groove and pure malignancy" - as put by the band's leader, Ferdinando "Herr Morbid" Marchisio. "We kept the sound very organic and natural, kinda old-fashioned but still very fresh. The new songs are heavy as fuck and they feature our classic trademark plus some new elements. I can't wait for people to listen to it, 'cause it's a really special album for us and probably the most extreme we did in quite a while, both musically and conceptually".
Marchisio also referred to working with producer Terje Refsnes (Carpathian Forest, Novembre, Gehenna, Destroyer 666) for the first time: "We worked really hard, like never before. Terje Refsnes is a really experienced producer and he managed to get the best out of us. We are extremely proud of how this new album came out".
