As the Finnish summer draws to an end, the once white nights grow darker and colder by the day. Antagonist Zero delivers a fitting soundtrack for the season, complementing the darkening skies with a blend of atmospheric melodies and aggressive melancholy. On August 14 the band's latest offering, No Tears MCD, is released via Inverse Records. No Tears continues on the path set by Antagonist Zero's previous releases, the critically acclaimed Doomed and Nighttime Harmony, blending together elements of doom, death and post shades of metal.
No Tears consists of five songs: three originals and two covers. The originals are a harbinger of an upcoming full-length album, demonstrating new elements in Antagonist Zero's music - such as the title tracks this-will-get-stuck-in-your-head riffs, Profound Oblivions wrecking ball groove and Suru, which is sung completely in Finnish. The two cover songs are familiar to listeners from the band's live shows: Doom:VS's melodic doom suits the band like a glove in the form of The Lachrymal Sleep, while Missä muruseni on, by Finnish pop queen Jenni Vartiainen, has received a workover which has already charmed live audiences all over Europe, Russia and China.
The release of No Tears will be celebrated on August 15 at Dark River festival in Kotka, Finland, where Antagonist Zero will be playing with such bands as Ghost Brigade, Poisonblack and Stam1na. More tour dates will be announced soon.
BLOODRED have recently started recording for the longed-for by many debut album.
For this Ron Merz has teamed up with Alexander Krull (ATROCITY, LEAVES' EYES) in its Mastersound Studio in Germany from 17 July. For the two is to continue the successful cooperation from last year.
Recording master Krull produces the whole and overtakes mixing and mastering. After the critically acclaimed EP "The Lost Ones", which was released in August last year, the current co-operative represents the second collaboration of this team.
In the technically well-equipped halls of the renowned Mastersound Studios releases of known acts like ATROCITY, LEAVES' EYES, BELPHEGOR and OBSCURA have already been provided with a great sound. The guitars get recorded by Thorsten Bauer (ATROCITY, LEAVES' EYES).
Once more with the mystical BLACKENED DEATH METAL game in Swabian realms is also Joris Nijenhuis (ATROCITY, LEAVES' EYES), who overtakes the drums just as it did at last year's EP "The Lost Ones".
BLOODRED mastermind, singer and multi-instrumentalist Ron Merz comments: "I am insanely blazed with great joy at the new recording sessions! In the Mastersound one can work as relaxed as fully focused. And Alex is always close with words and deeds."
Equally important to the studious BLOODRED main actor is the competent and experienced Joris Nijenhuis who plays the drum parts for the upcoming longplay crusher:"Joris is a world-class drummer, bringing in a whole new way ennobling, powerful dimension to my music with its style!"
Brazilian Legends in the matters of speed and brutality combined, Rebaelliun, are back! We team up again, after working together 15 years ago. In October Hammerheart will release a 7 with the two tracks that started it all in 1999: The At War Cd-single will be re-issued as a 7 EP!

German-located grinders Implore are proud to announce Depopulation, due out in September through Pelagic Records (Earthship, The Old Wind), which the band recently inked a deal with.
About the debut, Implore comments: "As previously announced by our new label, we are now part of Pelagic Records. It's a new chapter both for the band and for the record company, since they were mainly focused on sludge and post-metal. We want to thank Robin Staps for trusting our music and be willing to work with us."
Apathia Records has announced the signing of Weeping Birth, the brutal and melodic black/death metal project of Vladimir Cochet (Mirrorthrone). After taking a break from his musical projects, Vladimir is now back at work and has successfully gathered enough material to release a new Weeping Birth album, seven years after the sick Anosognosic Industry Of The I. The Crushed Harmony will be released on November 16th, 2015 in digital and CD digipack via Apathia Records.
Legendary british Crossover/ Thrash/ Punk pioneers CEREBRAL FIX will be entering Framework Studios in Birmingham on August 1st 2015 to record the band's fifth studio album to date, the first one in 23 years after their album "Death Erotica" in 1992.
Penned for an October/November 2015 release through Xtreem Music with a working title of "Disaster of Reality", the new album will feature new singer Al Osta (RAVENS CREED - Xtreem Music) and the return of Steve Watson on bass, also from RAVENS CREED, who already played in CEREBRAL FIX from '87-'89 together with Andy Baker (ex-SACRILEGE, VARUKERS, WARWOUND...) on drums along with original members Tony Warburton and Gregg Fellows on guitars. This means the old line-up that recorded their classic debut album "Life Sucks..." ('88) except former vocalist Simon Forrest who left the band in late 2014.
VIRULENCY posted that news on their official page:
We're pretty stoked to announce the guest vocalists to be featured on 'The Anthropodermic Manuscript of Retribution'. They are two of the European Brutal Death most renowned vocalists; Konstantin 'Konni' Lühring (ex-Defeated Sanity, Despondency, Revulsed) and Paolo Chiti (ex-Putridity, Devangelic). Their contribution is the perfect culmination to this high-level sheer brutality album!
More details will be announced very soon....meanwhile, we remind you to gaze at the astonishing piece of art made by Andrew Tkalentko 'Daemorph' for our album.

Absolute cult Swedish blackened death metal classic re-issue! From their ashes rose At The Gates!
The songs on this release are from several different periods in the bands evolution, so the sound can vary quite drastically. Earlier songs really bring to mind Sepulturas Bestial Devastation in terms of production and playing, with quite a few mistakes that are easily overlooked in favour of the absolutely badass rawness of this album. The songs are rather technical, both in terms of structure and riffing, which weave asphyxiating tentacles around your neck and drag you into this nightmarish journey. Angels Blood is an especially long, epic number with quite a few changes of tempo and mood, and is counterbalanced by short, intense songs like Spawn of Azathoth and Torn from the Cross, both of which feature sweltering, churning riffs. Tomas Lindbergs performance isnt too deathly, nor screechy, but a perfect, schizoid mix of the two, barking out a incessant malevolent lyrics to terrorize you.
Lets call this proto-death metal, because its not quite the death metal you normally associate with Sweden, and has a lot of totally kick as thrash riffs. Imagine if Morbid Angel had taken a different, slightly slower route after Abominations of Desolation, and inserted a bit of early Sepultura and Sodom into their mix! This is evil, twisted death metal, the way it is supposed to be done, and is absolutely mandatory for all fans of Scandinavian metal in general.
Available in september as Gatefold-LP (splatter, black vinyl and picture LP) and deluxe Digipack-CD!
