After 2 years of absence from touring, The Way Of Purity will be back on the road in Europe with Cryptopsy, Cattle Decapitation and Decrepit Birth and will also perform an uk headline tour. The infamous combo will present the new album "Equate" live during April and May with a new and intense live set and performance.
Bass player "without name" stated: " After the last tour with Gorgoroth we have been strugling to find a new balance in our project as we changed our singer and our sound developed in a more complex entity with computer / synths / effects / spoken parts / intros ... Everything needed to be tested really hard to make sure that we will be able to blow the audience away at this time ... The set will be continuous, non-stop with real high picks of emotion, I promise. We are ready now." Furthermore The Way Of Purity announced important cooperations for the new album.
Singer Marja Panic stated: " We started writing our new album with our russian friend Stielas Storhett and our producer Jonathan Mazzeo ... After this quite big work we felt that we wanted to give the final emotional touch with massive and continuous orchestrations so we asked Marianna Alfieri, known for being guitar player on Kirlian Camera, to work with us at that stage. She made such intense, passionate and incredibly tragical compositions to enhance our ideas. Now we are ready to fly to Romania to produce the vocals with Ageru Pamantului, former singer in Negura Bunget. After this last process we will enter Realsound and mathlab Studios in Italy to record the whole project. We still have to ask Christian Donldson if he wants to mix this album but we have time during the tour, I am quite sure that we will be able to work with him again."

The members of Atlanta-based grindcore trio DEAD IN THE DIRT have completed the writing process for their pending debut LP, and are preparing to set up camp to harness their latest blast-laden auditory dissent in the coming days.
DEAD IN THE DIRT will travel seven hundred miles north, set to record with Andy Nelson (Weekend Nachos) at Bricktop Recording Studio in Chicago the second week of April, armed with a barrage of new songs which will be delivered later in the year as their first full-length release, The Blind Hole. Following their initial 2010-released Vold EP, DITD caught the attention of Southern Lord Recordings, who hooked up with the band immediately for the release of their Fear 7, which bore some of the heaviest music of the year, taking morose lessons from His Hero Is Gone and Cursed to horrifically relentless levels of blasting intensity. The label will continue the tradition, and The Blind Hole will see release through Southern Lord later in the year.
A band who continually takes their societal and politically-based contempt out on the road, DEAD IN THE DIRT have taken part in multiple Southern Lord and The Power Of The Riff events and tours over the past two years, including both East Coast and West Coast US tours as direct support for SUNN O))) in 2012. With much more still in the works for the coming months, a live assault throughout the Midwest and parts of the Southeast US has already been confirmed for the majority of the month of May. The band will also take on Europe for a full month this October and November.

According to a Facebook posting from Matte Modin (DARK FUNERAL, INFERNAL, DEFLESHED), Swedish guitarist David Parland (NECROPHOBIC, DARK FUNERAL, INFERNAL) died on March 19 at the age of 42. No cause of death has yet been revealed.
A founding member of the Swedish melodic death metal band NECROPHOBIC, Parland later went on to start DARK FUNERAL and make a melodic and essentialist version of black metal that later worked more occult heavy metal into the mix. After that, he joined INFERNAL and developed their unique style of intensely violent music.
Guitarist Lord Ahriman (Mikael Svanberg) of Swedish black metallers DARK FUNERAL has posted the following message regarding the passing of his former bandmate, Swedish guitarist David Parland (pictured below; NECROPHOBIC, DARK FUNERAL, INFERNAL):
"A couple of days ago I was reached by the terrible news that my old brother David 'Blackmoon' Parland had passed away and entered the eternal fire once and for all. It's taken me a few days to grasp it all. And it still hurts a lot to even think to talk about it.
"During the last couple of weeks, I was in close contact with David. He was going through an extremely difficult time of life, whereof he contacted me to ask for my help.
"Even though the two of us had a bit of a complicated relationship over the years (much excessive in the media though), he knew that he could ALWAYS call or visit me when needed, which he also did once in a while.
"Last time I talked to him was when he called me on March 15. From what I could understand, things were going in the right direction. I also had some very good news for him, which he was very happy to hear about. What happened after that I simply can't understand. And I cant understand WHY he didn't call me (again).
"So close, so fucking close to get back on track, brother.
"You will be missed deeply! May you reign forever and ever in the eternal hellfire.
German death metallers LAY DOWN ROTTEN has inked a deal with Apostasy Records. The band's new album will be released before the end of the year.
Commented the band: "After it was quiet for quite a long time with LAY DOWN ROTTEN, we can finally spread some news again!
"First, we want to announce that we have signed a new label deal with Apostasy Records! We are really looking forward to working together with Tomasz and Co. to finish a new album as soon as possible then, we are naturally working at full stretch on new songs now. It should also not be unmentioned that our drummer Timo [Claas] has pulled off some new endorsement deals. Thus he is now very well equipped by Cube drums, Samsun cymbals and Ice sticks!
"And finally, you can still visit us live, of course. A few new shows are already confirmed. Some other will certainly follow for this year!"
Austrian death/ black metal metallers BELPHEGOR have pushed back the release date of their new album to early 2014 via Nuclear Blast Records. The follow-up to 2011's "Blood Magick Necromance" was recorded in part at Mana Recording Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida with producer Erik Rutan (HATE ETERNAL, MORBID ANGEL, CANNIBAL CORPSE).
Commented BELPHEGOR founding member, guitarist and vocalist Helmuth Lehner: "Drums, bass and guitars are all tracked. It sounds brutal, more aggressive and more death than what was heard on the last LPs. The soundwall is massive just as expected. Thanks to Erik Rutan for the extra motivation and forcing us to nail down tight-as-fukk performances. Furthermore, I am set to lay down the vocals in June/July, the mixdown and mastering will be done in September.
"A tough call, but it was the best for the record to decide to delay the release date again, to unleash the album in early 2014.

Gorath - Apokálypsis (Unveiling The Age That Is Not To Come) was officially released on cd in 2011 through Twilight Vertrieb. Since Gorath will be officially buried on April 27th ConSouling Sounds decided to release this album on vinyl.
Concept: about the Apocalypse of John. Many have tried to interpret these visions, but very few have managed to look beyond the madness, beyond the deceit of the false "God" that so many weaklings worship. Those desperate fools who put their faith and hope in the final judgement by their "God" are up for an unpleasant revelation, for He is not who He claims to be. Cursed is he who reads aloud the words of the prophecy and doomed are those who hear and who keep what is written therein...
The vinyl will be limited to 250 copies. Official release date May 3rd.

Italian death metal acts PULVIS ET UMBRA decided to part away from Rising Records /Plastichead due to working inability of the label itself and joined the roster of ABWESEND Records which will schedule an exclusive GSA release (Germany/Switzerland/Austria) on April 5 for band's debut album "Reaching The End" in cooperation with German promoter GORDEON MUSIC.
Spanish thrashers RANCOR have signed a deal with Xtreem Music for the immediate release of their sophomore album "Dark Future" which was recorded during the last months of 2012 by the band themselves under the production of their guitarist Vasco Durán being mixed and mastered at Rock Lab Studios by Dan Díez.
In March 2nd, the band released a mini CD entitled "Raining Bombs" containing an unreleased song from the same sessions as well as an album track ("Dark Future") plus two old re-recorded song. This EP is exclusively sold only through the band on their official website and live shows.
"Dark Future" contains 9 slabs of intense Thrash Metal in its purest form, blending aggressive riffing with a great sense of melody creating memorable songs dragging varied influences that might remind you to bands like MORTAL SIN, OVER KILL, SLAYER, old METALLICA, TESTAMENT, early ANNIHILATOR and the Bay Area sound. Album cover art has been made by comic artist Vito Sicilia, who did an awesome job which for sure is a plus for this brilliant album.
RANCOR is already working on upcoming shows to present "Dark Future", some of them supporting (again) UK's legend ONSLAUGHT.
Release date for "Dark Future" is scheduled for April 15th. You can visit the band's official website or their Facebook and listen to an advance song below.
