Polish progressive grind act ANTIGAMA has just completed the construction of their anticipated sixth full-length album, Meteor. Consisting of eleven explosive new tracks, Meteor was recorded earlier this year at Progresja Studio in Warsaw with producer Pawel "Janos" Grabowski (Masachist, Lost Soul) and the final output mastered by Scott Hull at his Visceral Sound Studios (Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Pig Destroyer).
The album also features a guest appearance by Michal Lapaj from world renowned Polish progressive rock band Riverside.
ANTIGAMA's head technician Sebastian Rokicki comments on what to expect from Meteor: "This was very hard and challenging recording session but I am sure the result will surprise many of our fans. Meteor is solid piece of intense brutal music not for weak at heart. This is no doubt the fastest and most experimental Antigama's album."
Meteor will see release in May or June via Selfmadegod Records, the assassins also responsible for the bands recently-released Stop The Chaos EP in addition to a plethora of other ANTIGAMA releases, including their seminal Discomfort and Zeroland albums. An official studio report, album art, and most importantly, new music from Meteor will be available shortly.
A few days ago Noctem announced a change in the line up of the band.
Helion (rhythm guitar) decided to part ways with the band for personal reasons. His abandonment of Noctem was produced in the most friendly way possible. We understand and support him. Now we proudly present Nekros as the new guitar of the band.
A few days later Noctem was presented as the new artist of the brand Esp & Ltd guitars and basses. Exo, Nekros and Ul proudly use Esp & Ltd instruments and have been fanatics of this well known brand for years and years.
In words of the band: "This is a further step for Noctem's career, as Esp & Ltd instrument's style fits perfectly the aggressive and sharp sound of Noctem. We hope this is the beginning of a very long relationship between the band and this worldwide killer brand".

The debut album from the Ukrainian progressive death-doom band Odradek Room is now available to order from Hypnotic Dirge Records. The 'Bardo. Relative Reality.' album consists of seven songs and an hour playtime, released in a digipack with a 12 page booklet including the full album's lyrics in both Russian and English. The album is also available online for free streaming(below) and digital downloads on bandcamp.
Named after one of Franz Kafka's short stories, Odradek Room is an atmospheric and progressive death-doom band with post-rock leanings from Mariupol, Ukraine. Initially formed in 2008 under the name 'Shards of Silence', the past five years has given the band ample time to develop and refine their sound for their debut album 'Bardo. Relative Reality.' Creating dynamic and profound music, rich in tempo and mood variation, Odradek Room has crafted an extremely strong debut which perfectly shows the duality between the aggressive and melancholic sides of death-doom combining slow plodding riffs, soaring emotional melodies, post-rock leanings, and a psychedelic touch to create a rich canvas of sonic majesty. A conceptual album based on the ideas of the Tibetan Book of the Dead and surreal images of the subliminal consciousness, the album consists of seven songs and an hour playtime, released in a digipack with a 12 page booklet including the full album's lyrics in both Russian and English, since it was very important to the band for the lyrical concept of this work to be comprehensible in both languages. Unique, mature, and with a well-defined personality, Bardo. Relative Reality. is a highly recommended debut album from this young Ukrainian band.
This April, Odradek Room will share the stage with Mourning Beloveth, Shape of Despair, Kauan, Crypt of Silence, and I Miss my Death at the sixth installment of Ukraine's largest Doom festival, Doom Over Kiev!
Today, Hells Headbangers/Hammerheart Records announces May 28th as the international release date for the CD version of Joel Grind's The Yellowgoat Sessions debut. The solo project of the selfsame Toxic Holocaust founder/frontman, Joel Grind's The Yellowgoat Sessions bears many similarities to the early days of Toxic Holocaust - especially the Critical Mass demo - but goes down a darker, dirtier, decidedly more primitive route. The (toxic) result is 10 tracks of raw and fuzzed-out rock 'n' roll / metal / punk in the vein of the first Bathory album and early Motorhead. Says JJoel Grind, "If you are looking for over-produced shit that passes as 'metal' today, this is NOT for you!".
Today, Hells Headbangers/Hammerheart Records announces May 14th as the international release date for GRAVEWÜRM's brand-new album, Infernal Minions. The American band's ninth full-length overall, Gravewürm's Infernal Minions "represents our continued path of worshipping the ancient gods of black metal," says founding vocalist/guitarist Funeral Grave. With cover art done by Massacre's Kam Lee, Infernal Minions indeed pays respect to the blackened altar of Hellhammer and Venom, Burzum and Beherit, Goatloard and Grand Belial's Key. Obstinate in their refusal to compromise, dedicated to the bitter end: For 23 years now, Gravewürm have been their own masters, and Infernal Minions is the aggregate accumulation of their arcane wisdom.
Magenta Harvest, started as a two-man project in 2005, when former ...and Oceans members Timo K (Havoc Unit, O, ex-...and Oceans) and Janne (MyGrain, ex-...and Oceans) wanted to continue making early ...and Oceans kind of music. Years later the project has been transformed into a full 5-piece band, when bassist Jonas (Chthonian, The Iniquity Descent), Guitarist Timo H and latest addition singer Mathias (Finntroll, Chthonian, The Iniquity Descent) joined in the line-up.
After two well-received EP's: a Familiar Room (2011) and Apparition Of Ending (2012), the band is ready to enter studio (SoundSpiral Audio) in May and record as yet untitled full-length album with Juho Räihä. The release date is planned for the summer/fall 2013 according to finnish label Inverse Records.
South American Black Metal horde Patria recently unleashed a new album teaser for 'Nihil Est Monastica'. The trailer was created by Swedish producer Håkan Sjodin, who previously worked for Marduk on their latest official video for 'Souls For Belial'. The band have now released a new track from the album 'Ascendant of Darkness' in advance of it's release via Drakkar Productions on 13th March 2013.Mantus comments on the release as a definite step forward for Patria, adding that "'Nihil Est Monastica' is an album going through a bit fresh musical conception if compared to our previous releases. There's no walls at all concerning our creativity on this record. We just decided to do what we had to do, naturally, without any worries about labels or rules. Something that would pleasure our own ears as real Black Metal fans, you know. We're also mixing different influences and elements. It also has a little better production, but even still keeping that necro and lowfi characteristics of the early Black Metal sound. The cover art was signed by the great artist Costin Chioreanu (Darkthrone, Ulver, Aura Noir, Absu, etc.)"
