Swedish Melodic Death Metallers THE COLD EXISTENCE recently made the decision to put the band on indefinite hold.
Below is the official statement made by the band: "We have come to the conclusion that we need to put THE COLD EXISTENCE on hold for an undecided time. The main reason for this is that we feel that we have been working really hard for many years now and the band has not really move forward.
The members have other bands / projects to put their energy in. So at the moment, the best for the band and its members is to put it on hold. Maybe in the future, if the right kinda label shows interest and support in the band, we might continue where we took off.

Swedish death metal veterans UNLEASHED have uploaded the title track for their upcoming release, As Yggdrasil Trembles, on their Myspace page. The new album continues on the same path that was forged by their previous two releases Midvinterblot and Hammer Battalion.
As Yggdrasil Trembles will be released on March 19th (Europe) and April 6th (North America).

VADER's new album, "Necropolis", sold around 1,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD landed at position No. 19 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
"Necropolis" was recorded at Hertz studios in Bialystok, Poland with the Wieslawski Bros.. Tue Madsen, who previously worked with such bands as MOONSPELL, CATARACT, HEAVEN SHALL BURN and many more, mixed the CD at his Antfarm Studios in Denmark.
Norwegian black metallers GRAVDAL will release their second full-length album, "Torturmantra", in the spring via Unexploded Records. The nine-track follow-up to 2008's "Sadist" features artwork by Norwegian artist Robert Høyem, who has previously worked with such bands as SLAGMAUR and GALAR.

The frontman of Bleeding Through, Brandan Schieppatti and Mick Kenney from Anaal Nathrakh came together to create ‘Sorrows’. The band is a mixture of hardcore crustpunk,black metal with electronic beats and heavy riffage. While Brandan is handling the vocals, Mick Kenney is taking the guitar parts and also writing the lyrics and producing the album. For the drumming they drafted in Trevor Friedrich (18 Visions, Combichrist).
Finland's ROTTEN SOUND has posted two tracks — "Mindkill" and "Missing Link" (NAPALM DEATH cover) — from the band's forthcoming "Napalm" EP.
"Napalm" features three brand new ROTTEN SOUND songs and three NAPALM DEATH covers along with a bonus DVD that includes a full live set from the Obscene Extreme festival.

Swedish old-school death metallers SINNERS BURN have posted a new song, "Wargasm", on their MySpace page. The track comes off the band's third album, "Insanity Warmachine", which is scheduled for a late spring/early summer release via Khaosmaster Productions. The CD was recorded at The Undead Studios and was mixed and mastered by Patrick Bruss (CRYPTICUS).
Southern California's BLEEDING THROUGH track entitled "Breathing In The Wrath" is available for streaming at the band's MySpace page.
