Greek dark metal band ROTTING CHRIST have unveiled a video for their new song "The Raven". It is the third track to be released from the band's upcoming album, "The Heretics", which will be released on February 15 via Season Of Mist.
Frontman Sakis Tolis comments on the new song: "We proudly present to you 'The Raven', the third song from our upcoming new album, 'The Heretics'. It is the epilogue of the album, and one of our most atmospheric and melodic creations. It's a tribute to one of America's most (in)famous writers — Edgar Allan Poe — and more specifically to his influential poem of the same name. Enjoy 'The Raven' and see you soon on our heretical path!"
The artwork for "The Heretics" was created by Greek artist Maximos Manolis.
Dutch death/thrash metal band IZEGRIM have released a video for the song "Retraumatized", which is taken from their latest EP, titled "Beheaded By Trust". The clip follows the band throughout its performance at the sold-out Eindhoven Metal Meeting festival, which took place on December 14. The video was directed by Sebastiaan Spijker of Ik Wil Ook Een Videoclip.
IZEGRIM's Marloes comments: "From preparations to soundcheck, to the gig at the prestigious sold-out Eindhoven Metal Meeting: it's all packed into Izegrim's latest video clip. No expensive props, no bluescreens, no storyline or silly choreography. This is 100% IZEGRIM at its best!"
Swedish epic heavy doom metal warlords SORCERER has announced the addition of bassist Justin Biggs to the group's squad.
Says the band: "This may come as a surprise to some, maybe not to others. Justin is the handsome fellow on stage left that has been filling in for Johnny Hagel on all our gigs this past year, doing a splendid job, we hasten to add, and we're very happy to announce that he is now a full-time member.
"Coming from a heavier direction than some of us other guys, we're really excited to see what he will bring to the table in terms of songwriting. He's already played us some of his ideas for the album and they are heavy as shit so we are very much looking forward to bringing his musical personality into the SORCERER sound.
"But what about Johnny, you ask? Well, we are also very happy to say that he will stay on as a member but not playing live with the band. He will take part in some of the decision-making and the creative direction of the band but most importantly he will still be every bit as involved in the songwriting as before, and we wouldn't have it any other way so all you Hagel fans, stay cool. He's still with us.
“No one can destroy this MALEVOLENT CREATION” is a legendary line by the late, great Bret Hoffmann, who passed away on July 7th, 2018. Renowned and revered for his vicious vocal style and unique onstage presence, Hoffmann is impossible to replace, but co-founder Phil Fasciana decided to face the challenge and affirm the truth behind this lyric from the group’s 1991 debut “The Ten Commandments”.
Now, MALEVOLENT CREATION has confirmed January 18th, 2019 as the release date for “The 13th Beast”, which introduces a new line-up consisting of Phil Cancilla (drums), Josh Gibbs (bass), Phil Fasciana (guitars) and vocalist/guitarist Lee Wollenschlaeger (Throne Of Nails, Imperial Empire).
“This is the biggest honour I could ever be given”, says Lee Wollenschlaeger.“The opportunity to front one of my all-time favourite bands, and an even bigger pleasure of jamming with such great people. We have created one of the most relentless albums of MALEVOLENT CREATION’s history. As a fan, I know we are going to shock a lot of people at how intense this new album is. Done in a way only MALEVOLENT CREATION can. I can’t wait to see all you guys on the road in 2019 and beyond, playing songs from all the albums, including our new album, “The 13th Beast”!”
“Lee was the missing link when I was searching for a new vocalist and guitarist”, adds Phil Fasciana. “Each new member is a solid musician and songwriter sharing the same passion for extreme music MALEVOLENT CREATION has been striving for since 1987. I’m very proud of this album and look forward to presenting it live as well as songs from our massive back catalogue including stuff that hasn't been played live in a long time or ever.”
Musically, “The 13th Beast” expands upon 2014’s “Dead Man’s Path” yet also incorporates a brutality known from albums such as “The Will To Kill” and “Eternal” which is further accentuated by Wollenschlaeger’s understandable yet deeper vocal tone and songwriting contributions. Just like “Dead Man’s Path”, the record offers artwork by German Latorres, and was mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö @ Unisound.
A first song from the album will be released on November 30th, 2018.
“The 13th Beast” will be released as black and limited coloured LP plus 4-page LP booklet, CD, and digitally – presales start November 23rd, 2018.
The official lyric video for "The Hunt For White Christ", the title track of the 13th full-length album from Swedish death metal veterans UNLEASHED, can be seen below. The disc will be released on October 26 via Napalm Records.
Vocalist/bass player Johnny Hedlund explains the story behind the new song: "After the despicable acts of terror against women and children in the South, and the devastation of the villages (as seen on the album cover), The Midgard Warriors decide to hunt down White Christ, all the way to Jorsala, if need be."

Here is the band’s official statement;
''The 13th full-length Malevolent Creation album "The 13th Beast" is done and being mixed and mastered by Dan Swano as we speak. Get ready for complete annihilation!''

The imagery and music capture the eerie and nightmarish vibe and setting of RABID HEART while also planting an ominous seed with the viewer which will leave readers asking: “What is this creepy road are these characters have wound up on?”
“Who are these characters afraid of?”
“What horrors await them?”

Billboard.com reports that MARDUK has been banned from entering Guatemala for being “Satanic.”
The congressional decree banning anyone involved with the group known as MARDUK was approved Wednesday by an 87 to 13 vote. Independent lawmaker Oliverio Rodas commented that the group’s music is offensive to “the morality of the Christian people of Guatemala.”
However, opposition lawmaker Eva Monte Bac argued that the ban violates the constitution, accused colleagues of being “hypocrites.” She asked why reggaeton music with misogynist lyrics or narco-ballads that glorify drug traffickers have not been banned.
The band was supposed to perform in Guatemala on October 11.
MARDUK‘s latest album, Viktoria, was released on June 22, 2018. The album’s lyrics follow in a similar vein to some of their previous albums, focusing on historical World War II lyrical themes.
"Replaced", a brand new song from Death metal veterans MASTER, can be streamed below. The track is taken from the band's upcoming full-length album, "Vindictive Miscreant", which will be released on November 28 via Transcending Obscurity Records.
